The interested public comes to the rescue
Municipal budgets are always too small for all investment aspirations and usually the investment value of projects must be reduced. The Čufar square project was no different. We wanted to make a modern, multifunctional and attractive square.
The funds were limited, and the client – the Municipality of Jesenice, did not believe in our ideas because they seemed too bold and modern. In the end, however, we were able to convince them to accept our project. The students of the nearby high school, to whom we revealed the plans, were a great help, they were impressed and we included them, as future users, in the discussion regarding the image of the new square.
Sometimes it is necessary to use subversive methods and to illustrate a concept to the client, with the help of an interested public, that an important group of society may really need a certain space.
